Learn to sail at Hollowell

We are a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Establishment and the courses are taught by fully qualified RYA instructors. Our instructors are all club members, volunteers who love teaching sailing or powerboating. This also helps keep our costs down which means we offer some of the best value training available.

At Hollowell Sailing Club we offer you a quick, easy and safe way to learn to sail or learn powerboat handling skills. We provide a range of courses covering all age ranges to help you progress and make the most of the time afloat, whatever your age, ability or aspirations.

Most training is comprised of a series of two-day courses enabling you to progress quickly from beginner to experts in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment. Hollowell Sailing Club is fully accredited with the RYA (Royal Yachting Association)

You can make sailing what you want it to be – relaxing or high-adrenaline, sociable or secluded, on sheltered inland waters or on the open sea. Sailing is one of the most rewarding, healthy, outdoor activities you can take part in.

Sailing teaches youngsters self-reliance, inspires confidence and sociability. Sailing offers families the opportunity to have fun together, or to grab single-handed escapism from time to time!
