Tuesday Try Sailing

(FOR NON-MEMBERS)
At HSC we offer Try Sailing Sessions for families or individuals on Tuesday evenings from May through to July

These sessions are designed to give you a taster of what sailing is all about. You will learn to rig the boats, go for a sail with an instructor on board, have a go at helming yourself, then return to the shore to de-rig.

The session starts at 1830 and finishes just around 2000.

Fee is £8 per adult and £5 per child. Maximum of three participants in the boat at any one time. (For families of four we can swap people out half-way through). Children should be 5 or over.

To book follow through on our WebCollect booking page and pick the date you would like to TRY SAILING.

If Tuesday evenings are difficult for you we have opportunities under our DISCOVER SAILING banner and have free sessions on OPEN DAY Saturdays

Email Andrew Wood our Tuesday Coordinator, for more information and to discuss availability dates and group sizes EMAIL

Back On The Water

(For current members)
This maybe the course for you....

So it's the beginning of the new season. Now is the time to get back on the water and GO sailing. This course acts as a refresher for those who feel they may need a hand, or who want to brush up their skills.

This year we will offer three courses running on Thursday evenings 18:00 (rigged and ready) to 20:00. Each course will last for three weeks. We will tailor each course to the participants but we should be able to offer on each course:

- Better sailing skills (coming alongside a pontoon, Man over Board, slow boat handling skills)
- Basics of racing.

We finish each session just in time for you to enjoy a beer (glass of wine) and the legendary Thursday evening meal. Ideally you will use your own boat, but if you want to book a Club boat you can now do that on-line as well. Half price hire for BoW.
